Accounting Specialist
Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent business in the Lee County MS area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team! This customer is offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing! This is a direct hire opportunity.
Accounting Specialist Job Summary:

• Shifts Available:
Qualifications General Accounting
- Process daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Generate customer invoices and monitor collections.
- Research and resolve customer billing issues.
- Assist with cash application and account reconciliation.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory records.
- Monitor inventory transactions, adjustments, and cycle count variances.
- Assist with physical inventories and inventory audits.
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with operations.
- Support costing processes, including standard costs, labor costs, and overhead allocations.
- Review production reports for accuracy and completeness.
- High School Diploma required, associate or bachelor's Degree in accounting finance preferred
- Required Experience
- Experience in accounts payable required
