Tear Down/Drivetrain Assistant Technician

Job TitleThe primary function of this position is to tear down of transfer cases.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Receives direction from team lead on priority teardowns.Remove internal bearings, and gears and discard them appropriately.Work with the builders/drivetrain technicians to identify units that need to be torn down.Stage removed parts for wash and blast.Wash and blast components and casesMaintain a clean and safe workspace, properly disposing of worn partsOther tasks as directed, including cross-training in other areas of the shopQualifications:Basic automotive or mechanical skillsFamiliarity and/or use of power toolsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to cross-train in other areas of the shop
