Ellicott Cir Acupuncture LLC is seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to join our integrative care team on a part-time basis. The therapist will provide brief, focused therapeutic massage (typically 10–15 minutes per patient) in collaboration with licensed acupuncturists, supporting patients with pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and wellness goals at our Ellicott City and/or Frederick, Maryland clinic locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a focused intake for each patient, including relevant history, contraindications, and treatment goals.
• Deliver brief therapeutic massage (typically 10–15 minutes per patient) using techniques within the Maryland LMT scope of practice, coordinated with the acupuncture visit.
• See about 1–5 patients per hour and approximately 8–12 patients per week, as scheduled.
• Coordinate care with acupuncturists; refer when a condition falls outside massage scope.
• Keep the treatment area clean and follow infection-control and linen protocols.
• Give brief aftercare guidance as appropriate.
• Uphold HIPAA, informed-consent, draping, and professional-boundary standards.
• Stay on time so acupuncture and massage flow stay coordinated.
• Maintain current Maryland licensure, liability insurance, CPR, and required continuing education.

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland Massage Therapy license (Licensed Massage Therapist) in good standing with the Maryland Board of Massage Therapy Examiners.
• Graduation from an approved massage therapy program meeting Maryland hour and curriculum requirements.
• Current professional liability (malpractice) insurance.
• Current Healthcare Provider / BLS CPR certification (required by the Maryland Board for LMT licensure and renewal).
• Skill in focused, time-limited therapeutic massage and clear patient communication.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a medical, chiropractic, acupuncture, or integrative-health setting.
• Comfort with short, targeted sessions (tuina-style, trigger-point, or orthopedic work) rather than 60-minute spa massage.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin or English/Spanish is a plus.
• Comfort collaborating with East Asian medicine practitioners.

Physical Demands

This is not a high-volume spa schedule. Work consists of brief standing or seated bodywork of about 10–15 minutes per patient, typically 1–5 patients in an hour and 120- 200 patients in a week. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified applicants.

Schedule, Compensation & Work Environment

• Part-time: typically–8-12 hours per week; 1–5 patients per scheduled hour.
• Each hands-on session is about 10–15 minutes.
• Days and hours to be agreed; may include Ellicott City (Dorsey Hall Drive) and/or Frederick sites.
• Compensation based on experience (hourly and/or per-session structure to be discussed).
• This is an at-will position. Employment is contingent on license verification and standard onboarding.
