Title: Customer Service Specialist

Location: Midland, MI

Job Description

The Customer Service Specialist manages order entry and fulfillment for complex customer accounts, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with business guidelines. This role builds strong customer relationships, resolves issues, supports commercial objectives, and delivers cost-effective solutions while maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage order entry and fulfillment for key, high-value, and complex customer accounts.
• Review, validate, and process orders in accordance with established processes, systems, and business guidelines.
• Develop strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and providing effective solutions.
• Coordinate activities across assigned customer accounts and support additional accounts as needed.
• Maintain service levels based on business priorities and customer requirements.
• Evaluate customer requirements against business capabilities and identify the most effective and cost-efficient solutions.
• Support commercial strategies and customer initiatives across multiple business areas.
• Serve as a key resource for systems, tools, and business processes.
• Resolve complex customer issues and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain strong knowledge of products, applications, services, and business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in customer service, order management, supply chain, sales, accounts receivable, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of SAP experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Customer service and business process acumen.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Background

Experience in supply chain, sales, account management, or accounts receivable is highly desirable.
