Quality Control Inspector II Location: Garland, TX | Employment Type: Full-Time | Openings: 3 | Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite | Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM | 1st Shift | Pay Rate: $23.26–$27.59 per hour | Additional Compensation: Eligible for discretionary bonus Position Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking three experienced Quality Control Inspector II professionals for onsite opportunities in Garland, TX. This position is responsible for inspecting power distribution assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, torque specifications, UL requirements, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate has at least three years of manufacturing quality experience and must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. This role supports Lean Manufacturing quality principles by identifying abnormalities early, escalating quality concerns, and preventing nonconforming products from reaching customers. Key Responsibilities Perform in-process and final quality inspections of power distribution assemblies. Verify assemblies meet electrical schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and mechanical requirements. Inspect wire routing, labeling, terminations, fastening, hardware, and torque markings. Conduct torque audits using calibrated tools and verify proper hardware type, grade, and washer usage. Perform final visual inspections and Hi-Pot/dielectric testing prior to energization. Complete inspection documentation and quality records accurately and consistently. Identify and document nonconforming materials or assemblies. Tag, segregate, and support rework verification of defective or nonconforming products. Identify, contain, and immediately escalation abnormal, unsafe, or nonconforming conditions. Place products on hold or stop shipment when quality requirements are not met. Coordinate with Quality and engineering teams regarding re-inspection and corrective actions. Cross-train in additional QC/QA functions, including receiving inspections and MRB/RMA processes. Follow applicable safety, quality, UL, and internal manufacturing standards. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma, GED, or technical certification required. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing quality control or inspection experience in electronics, electrical manufacturing, defense, automotive, or a related environment. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings is required. Basic knowledge of UL and NEC standards. Experience performing manufacturing inspections and documenting nonconformances. Ability to use torque wrenches, multimeters, inspection gauges, and other hand or inspection tools. Basic computer, data entry, and Microsoft Excel skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues and discrepancies. Ability to follow engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and safety requirements. Must own steel-toe boots. Preferred Qualifications Electrical wiring experience. Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment. Experience with power distribution equipment or electrical assemblies. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Ability to perform repetitive movements and tasks. Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, and twist as required. Ability to use hands to handle and operate tools, equipment, and controls. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Vision correctable to 20/20. Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and gloves. Ability to work in a loud production environment that may be subject to varying or extreme temperatures. Some duties may be performed outdoors. Work Environment This position may perform duties throughout manufacturing facilities, production shops, offices, commercial buildings, and outdoor areas. The role requires adherence to established safety procedures and quality standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
