Structural Design Engineer

Job Details Division: Nucor Warehouse Systems Location: Monroe, GA, United States Responsibilities Design a variety of steel racking systems including Tuberacks, Drive-In racks, Cantilever racks, Pushback, and Pallet Flow racks. Develop safe and economical steel racking systems that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards. Utilize industry software for structural frames, beams, bracing, mezzanine, and platforms to ensure structural integrity and performance. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and other team members to communicate engineering requirements and ensure seamless project execution. Review and check structural drawings for accuracy. Continuously learn and collaborate with teams to develop innovative solutions. Safety Requirement Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited school. Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date. Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English. Preferred Qualifications Educational focus on structural engineering. Basic knowledge of building construction. Understanding of current building codes and standard industry practices.
