This role involves assisting physical therapists with patient treatments, obtaining treatment-related data, and supporting patient exercises across a broad patient demographic. The position requires collaboration with the physical team to enhance patient care and ensure treatment efficacy. Job Details Position Description: PTAs implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the physical therapist (PT) to modify care as necessary. PTAs assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to people at the end of life. They help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups, read instructions from the PT, work directly with the physical therapist to assist patients, speak with families to find the best at-home techniques, keep physical therapy areas clean and organized, move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area, complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork, and teach patients techniques like balance training. Required Qualifications: Valid PTA license; minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience, including long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation experience; BLS certification; Missouri state licensure; experience with patient care and administrative tasks. Schedule: Days shift; 8-hour shift; minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 1 year of physical therapy experience to qualify for this role.
