Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the Hemet Field Office in Riverside County.

The DMV is responsible for licensing drivers, registering vehicles, securing identities, and regulating the motor vehicle industry. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates who are experienced in delivering stellar face-to-face customer service with a positive, can-do attitude for a fast-paced public contact position. The duties of the position include: cashiering, data entry, the ability to provide verbal, written, and technical assistance pertaining to the licensing of drivers, issuance of identification cards, vehicle registration, and occupational licenses, in a courteous and efficient manner. Dependability and punctuality are essential.

All eligible applicants may apply; however, hiring preference will be given to current permanent full-time Motor Vehicle Representative (MVR) intra-agency transfer applicants or eligible permanent intermittent MVR applicants through the Post and Bid process. The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
