Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Nights) with House Supervisor Responsibilities

Schedule

This position involves night shifts from 1900 to 0730 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide patient care in an emergency setting. This role requires initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision. The nurse will triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately, while effectively communicating with physicians regarding patient status. Additionally, the nurse must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
• Triage patients accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with physicians to discuss and update patient status.
• Maintain professional communication with patients and healthcare staff.
• Work flexibly across departments as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience is preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (T-System and CPSI).
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must pass a nursing medication test.
