Crane Operator

Position Overview Reworld in Spring Hill, FL is hiring for an experienced Crane Operator. Position Responsibilities The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the refuse crane, feeding hoppers and maintaining correct levels of refuse fuel in the boiler hoppers, as well as mixing and leveling refuse in the pit. Perform routine inspections of overhead cranes/grapples to ensure equipment integrity, routine maintenance and housekeeping. Observe the tipping of delivery trucks for unacceptable and hazardous waste. Participate in boiler cleanings. Complete required Reworld training within assigned timelines. Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor. Position Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Mechanically inclined with ability to inspect equipment for optimal operation. Three to six months Crane experience and/or training preferred. Formal technical or apprenticeship training desirable, or equivalent education and experience. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as rules, procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals. Ability to log onto a computer and complete online training assignments. Perform cleaning and removal of dirt and debris from equipment, floors, buildings, driveways, etc. Shift This position works on a rotating 12-hour shift including weekends and some holidays; overtime will be required. Physical Demands Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb. Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces. Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator. Pay Transparency Reworld is committed to paying staff equitably. The pay range for this position is $47,400.00 - $63,100.00 USD.
