Growing together.Position in this function is responsible for drawing blood on patients, performing necessary in-house testing, and preparing specimens sent to reference lab.Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PMLocation: 2301 S Hampton Rd, Dallas, TX 75224Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepares equipment to efficiently collect blood productsPerforms venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients. Identifies and labels specimensConducts designated laboratory testingInstructs patients on urine collection procedures. Allocates urine specimensCleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work areaInventories supplies and places ordersEnters laboratory data into computer systemMaintains patient confidentialityData enters is accurate and timelyMonitors biohazard wasteEnsures preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and monitorsResponses timely to abnormal and panic valuesMaintains knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for specimen collectionPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
