Position Counselor Full‑Time/Part‑Time: Full‑Time Location: West Sayville, NY Days and Hours Monday - Friday; 12:00 am–8:00 am Description Concern Housing is seeking a Weekday Overnight Counselor to be responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Case Managers in the delivery of direct services to the clients, as well assisting in the overall running of the site. The counselor provides a variety of services, ranging from the teaching of skills to delivery of concrete services to providing counseling to the clients. Responsibilities Provides direct care services to a caseload of clients. Responsible for documentation of clients assigned to as well as documentation relating to other clients' progress. Monitors the site, coordinates and participates in house activities such as preparation of meals, chore activities, recreational activities, safety checks, etc. Facilitates food‑planning committee; trains clients in weekly food planning. Provides rehabilitative support services in daily living skills, health services and others as assigned. Provides housing services including assistance with maintenance issues. Monitors medication. Assists with transportation of clients. Attends staff meetings as scheduled. Performs monthly fire inspections. Remains current with all agency‑required compliance documents and trainings. Requirements Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
