Description: Responsible for the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in sterile processing. Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient sterile processing environment. Utilize appropriate techniques for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment. Monitor sterilization processes and conduct routine testing. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of instruments. Participate in training and education programs as needed. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance. Follow all hospital protocols concerning infection control and safety. Must be willing to take on-call shifts as required. Weekends and holiday coverage may be necessary. Ability to float to other departments as needed. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Effective communication skills are required for interdisciplinary collaboration.
