Operations Supervisor - 3PL Final Mile - Furniture Delivery

Operations Manager Role The Operations Supervisor will assist General Manager in executing the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit. This role will lead safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function. The Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Team to ensure accountability for inbound/outbound logistics. They will report to General Manager. Responsibilities Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations. Design strategy and set goals for growth. Set policies and processes. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally. Oversee recruitment and training of new employees. Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance. Direct the employee assessment process. Prepare regular reports for upper management. Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations. Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors). Job Requirements Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts. Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence. Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long. Lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each. Move up and down stairs. Bi lingual preferred Must have open availability as far as schedule is concerned. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers). Preferred Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience with final mile deliveries. Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and analytical skills. Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal).
