The Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) develops novel algorithms and prototypes using software defined radios to enable the space enterprise. We are subject matter experts who provide technical advice to our customers on satellite communication systems and use state-of-the-art algorithms to build our customer's future capabilities.The selected candidate will be required to work full time on-site at our facility at El Segundo, CA. What You'll Be DoingDesign, build, test, and demonstrate software/hardware prototypes for intelligent, cognitive radiosDeliver tech demos and briefings to internal stakeholders and to external customersProvide technical guidance and insight to external customersPitch ideas for new research and development projectsWhat You Need to be Successful - Senior Member of Technical Staff Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related disciplineFour years of related experience with modern communication and digital signal processing techniquesExperience with Linux or development on a Linux platformStrong coding skills in either Python, C++, or MatlabThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearanceHow You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:Software defined radio development (GNU Radio) or experience with USRP or similar SDR platformsFamiliarity with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning techniques and machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and scikit-learnDomain expertise in one or more of: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT)Electromagnetic Warfare (EW)Experience with best practices for DevOps and MLOpsPossess an active TS/SCI security clearanceWe offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
