We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the Quality Control function at a precast concrete manufacturing facility in Greenfield, Indiana. This position is responsible for ensuring materials, production practices, and finished products meet design requirements, job specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable industry standards.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in precast or prestressed concrete , hands-on knowledge of concrete testing and mix designs, PCI and ACI certifications , and demonstrated experience leading and developing a Quality Control team.

This is a leadership-focused position overseeing approximately 11 Quality Control professionals. The Quality Control Manager will work closely with production, engineering, and plant leadership to resolve quality and process issues, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Quality Control department, including QC supervisors, engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
• Manage, train, coach, and develop Quality Control personnel.
• Establish and reinforce high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Ensure production practices comply with the facility's Quality System Manual and applicable industry requirements.
• Maintain and apply working knowledge of PCI, ACI, and ASTM standards within a precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing environment.
• Support Quality Assurance activities and PCI audits and lead follow-up and continuous improvement efforts resulting from audit findings.
• Review job specifications and ensure quality requirements are understood and followed throughout production.
• Oversee concrete testing, mix designs, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate advanced concrete and concrete-material testing as required.
• Oversee inspections of internal and external steel hardware.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and communicate quality performance to plant leadership.
• Monitor quality-related costs, reports, audits, processes, and procedures.
• Partner with production and engineering teams to resolve quality, production, process, and efficiency concerns.
• Identify and implement new technology, systems, and processes that improve Quality Control operations.
• Support recruiting and staffing efforts for the Quality Control department.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience within precast or prestressed concrete manufacturing .
• Current or previous PCI certification .
• Current or previous ACI certification .
• In-depth understanding of concrete testing, concrete mix designs, and troubleshooting concrete-related quality issues .
• Significant people-management experience within Quality Control, concrete manufacturing, or a closely related environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Greenfield, Indiana.
• Ability to work an approximately 3:00–3:30 AM start time Monday through Friday .

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 4–5+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Advanced PCI certification levels, including PCI Level II or III.
• Experience leading a larger Quality Control team.
• Material testing and laboratory experience.
• Engineering or advanced technical Quality Control experience within precast concrete.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

A degree is preferred but not required for candidates with highly relevant precast/prestressed concrete experience, certifications, and leadership experience.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 3:00–3:30 AM start time
• Typical end time ranges from approximately 12:00 PM–2:00 PM depending on workload.
• Occasional Saturday work may be required based on production needs.
• This is a 100% on-site position .

Compensation & Relocation

• Target base salary of $100,000–$120,000
• Additional compensation flexibility may be available for exceptionally qualified candidates.
• Annual performance bonus opportunity.
• Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates , including reimbursement of eligible relocation expenses.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and production equipment as required.
• Ability to walk extended distances throughout an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work in both indoor production areas and outdoor conditions as necessary.
