Job ID: 10431762 | Amazon Data Services, Inc. AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing infrastructure operations team. The role involves scaling support of several data center locations, assisting with capacity management, and delivering innovative network automation and scaling solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and cords. Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment. Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Travel** Travel within and outside the regional work area is required. Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license. A Day in the Life Provide first‑level networking devices for customer racks: track rack intake and delivery, request rack space, power, and cooling, and partner with network engineers for configuration readiness. Build console and room infrastructure to expand customer rack space. Collaborate with ID‑Scaling peers to build higher‑level networking devices. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Work in environments that operate 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support. Operate in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments. Perform bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience. 1+ year of computer networking experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Data center experience. Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+. Experience with network troubleshooting tools, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
