Overview
Job Summary: This role is essential for fostering effective dental teams across various locations. Collaborating with the Chief Dental Officer, VP of Clinical Performance, Chief Field Operations, Regional Dental Directors, and District Managers, this position focuses on mentoring and guiding all dental professionals, overseeing personnel management, enhancing client and patient relations, and exemplifying leadership for office teams. Physical Requirements: The responsibilities of this position necessitate the ability to:- Preference will be given to candidates who currently reside in or are willing to relocate to the region.
- Travel within the district is a requirement.
- Ensure compliance with all governmental and state dental board regulations, including CMS, HIPAA, and OSHA standards. Collaborate with the Chief Dental Officer on compliance and office audits within the CPM Audit Process.
- Guide, train, and mentor dental professionals to achieve their performance potential, especially new hires during their onboarding and adjustment phases. Focus on doctor engagement, retention, and addressing those at risk due to performance issues or dissatisfaction.
- The balance between clinical days and administrative/mentoring days will be determined by the Regional Dental Director, based on the number of offices and doctors in the district.
- Ensure adherence to diagnostic and preventive guidelines set by the ADA and AAPD, including Caries Risk Assessment (CRA), appropriate radiographs (ALERA principle), and sealants.
- Collaborate with offices to ensure effective program management, comprehensive staff training, development and execution of SMART plans, and adherence to customer service standards.
- Ensure that dental professionals create positive and memorable experiences for patients and their families.
- Facilitate the identification and referral of patients for specialty services when necessary.
- Work in partnership with Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and General Anesthesia teams.
- Address and resolve clinical patient concerns within 24 hours upon request from the District Manager.
- Ensure that dental professionals are responsive to after-hours calls.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition during the selection and onboarding processes.
- Engage in community events, including dental school meetings, board member gatherings, dental associations, and other opportunities to represent the organization within the dental and local communities.
- Oversee weekly doctor scheduling in collaboration with the District Manager to meet patient needs, including effective management of PTO.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education/Experience:
- While not mandatory, candidates with over 5 years of management experience, preferably in a multi-site dental practice, will be favored.
- Must possess a DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
- A current, valid license to practice dentistry in the states where patient care is provided is required (license must be in good standing) or the willingness and ability to obtain licensure.
- Additional certifications as necessary, such as CPR and DEA.
- A genuine compassion and strong desire to provide dental care to both children and adults.
