Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician VCA Animal Emergency Hospital Southeast Calder Road in League City, TX, is looking for an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join a one‑of‑a‑kind Emergency and Critical Care Hospital. Schedule: full‑time overnights Pay Range: $21.00 – $25.00/hr Location: League City, TX 77573 Requirements: Veterinary Technician experience required. Emergency experience preferred. Must work weekends and holidays and lift over 30 pounds without assistance. The hospital has been serving the Bay Area near Houston for over 20 years, operates nights, weekends and holidays, is AHAA accredited, and is dedicated to providing the best possible care to patients and excellent service to clients. Responsibilities Place IV catheters; monitor surgery; triage emergency cases; manage hospitalized cases; communicate efficiently with doctors and staff; calculate drug dosing; administer medications via injection, oral, and topical routes. Perform standard hospital cleaning duties. Follow hospital checklists and protocols. Maintain the highest standard of patient care. Collaborate with team members in a positive, low‑stress environment to deliver outstanding client experience. Perform physical examinations and patient assessment. Provide anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assistance, dentistry, radiology, laboratory work, venipuncture, catheter placement, pharmacy, patient recovery, and compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
