Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Transplant)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM) | 36 hours guaranteed for 3x12 schedule; 40 hours guaranteed for 8/10 schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care with a primary focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases
• Assist with organ implantation procedures in transplant recipients (not limited to organ procurement/harvesting)
• Operate Misonix/CUSA equipment proficiently during surgical procedures
• Cover additional OR cases when transplant cases are not scheduled
• Participate in on-call coverage, including one on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct OR experience with liver and/or transplant cases
• Demonstrated experience with organ implantation (recipient care), not solely organ harvesting
• Strong proficiency with Misonix/CUSA equipment
• Active RN license (pending license considered)
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures in addition to liver transplant
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records charting system
• 18+ months of OR transplant experience with 2 years preferred
