Financial Analyst- Contractor

A great UHY client is seeking a Financial Analyst for a 3 - 6 month engagement . The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, financial reporting and forecasting experience, and strong analytical abilities. Please note, only local candidates will be considered and sponsorship is NOT available for this role.

The Financial Analyst role is a hybrid position. This is a contract opportunity.

Financial Analyst - Contractor Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute financial reports accurately and on time.
• Support forecasting and budgeting activities.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of financial data.
• Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and automated tools.
• Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Support compliance with financial policies, controls, and accounting standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial guidance and analysis.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Financial Analyst - Contractor Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, modeling, and automation tools.
• Experience working with large and complex data sets.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting tools preferred.
• Experience in a corporate finance or FP&A environment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
