Maintenance/Labor Worker

SFS is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our maintenance team. The Maintenance/Labor Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of school facilities. This position is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of school grounds, including lawn care, snow removal, and trash collection.
• Operate and maintain various tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely manner.
• Support event setup and teardown, including moving furniture and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and other staff to ensure the efficient operation of school facilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license is required.
