Accountant I (59119)

Responsibilities Assist with the compilation and analysis of financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts; assist with the timely and accurate completion of required standard journal entries to facilitate monthly closing. Develop pertinent accounting and related data to prepare reports and statements. Assist in the coordination with the Forecasting and planning team. Assist with the preparation of account reconciliations, analysis, accruals, and journal entries for senior management monthly and external auditor annually. Process general ledger entries and assist with the preparation of account analysis. Analyze and evaluate accounting problems and take appropriate action. Work with internal and external customers to resolve accounting discrepancies; deliver AAA Five Diamond Service Standards to management and other business contacts. Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures and internal policies; identify opportunities for procedural enhancement; submit detailed recommendations regarding improvements or enhancements to Club accounting systems and practices; alert management when policies or procedures may unintentionally create opportunities for fraud. Assist other Financial Accountants with reconciliation issues as needed. Learn to perform a wide variety of accounting work. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required. Experience: 1–3 years related experience required.
