The team is responsible for ~$200B in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals for Goldman Sachs Wealth Management. AIP, one of the leading allocators globally, includes the Alternative Capital Markets business, focused on curating a best-in-class alternatives platform and client experience across Goldman Sachs managed and externally managed strategies. The team curates investment opportunities for clients across the alternatives landscape, advises on building alternatives portfolios, and manages discretionary portfolios through our Alternatives Portfolio Services (APS) platform. GP Coverage and SourcingWithin AIP, GP Coverage and Sourcing is responsible for leading the origination of alternative investment opportunities for GS Wealth clients. The venture and growth team team focuses on identifying and creating investment strategies including co-investments that meet client demand and address market opportunities by establishing and maintaining relationships with top tier managers. In addition, the team leads the structuring, capital markets and ongoing investor relations for each offering.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Help establish and manage GS ACM relationships with external managers, including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals, as well as source, diligence and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and address current market opportunitiesServe as an alternative investment strategist, helping establish GS Wealth house view on current private market trends / opportunities and providing insight to clients and internal GS constituents Help provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments, advising on growth strategies for new offerings / solutions, and develop segment specific fundraising strategiesHelp lead marketing of alternative investment offerings for venture and growth across GS client segments and regions including managing overall fund raising activity, developing marketing collateral / strategy pitch and engaging advisors / clients by organizing road shows / events / campaignsLead client portfolio reviews, including alternative portfolio analysis / implementation guidance, as well as provide performance attribution and fund commentaryHelp drive education of alternative investment themes and portfolio implementation for all GS client segments and regions by coordinating across AIP, GS CIO, GS investment teams and external managers to provide best-in-class thought leadershipSKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FORBachelors Degree or HigherDeep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments 3+ year’s experience in wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or private equityStrong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skillsTeam player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycleStrong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlinesSelf-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functionsSolid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detailSIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (must be obtained within 3 months)
