Substation Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical substation engineering projects.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and design packages.
- Perform grounding, fault current, and voltage drop studies.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and engineering teams.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Travel for site visits and client meetings as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 7-10 years of electrical substation or power systems engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of substation design and engineering standards.
- Experience with engineering calculations and technical reviews.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering design software.
- PE License preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Experience with medium/high-voltage substations preferred.
