Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: Certifications Required Must-Have: Advanced skills needed Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit. The unit has 33 beds with patient ratios of 6:1 during the day and 7:1 at night. There are 3 techs available per shift and a unit secretary on days. Equipment used on the unit includes IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Scheduling requires the nurse to work every other weekend. Floating to other appropriate areas may be required when needed. Candidates should meet patient experience requirements specific to the hospital. Candidates must possess the appropriate certifications for this role. Uniform or dress code specifics are required. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be followed. The unit has received awards and recognition that may be of interest to prospective candidates. The department features new equipment and technology, highlighting the tenure and experience of the staff. Flexible scheduling options may also be available.
