CAD/CAM Dental Laboratory Technician

We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Dental Laboratory Technician with a strong background in digital dentistry and modern laboratory workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with CAD/CAM manufacturing, 3D printing, digital production, and restorative finishing. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong quality control standards, and the ability to efficiently manage digital workflows from model preparation through final restoration. Key Responsibilities 1. CAD/CAM & Digital Manufacturing (Primary Focus) Operate and manage CAD/CAM production workflows for crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and full-arch cases. Nest restorations for milling and optimize material utilization. Process and manage 3D printed models, surgical guides, and try-ins using DLP, Projet, Stratasys, or similar technologies. Perform post-processing procedures including cleaning, support removal, curing, and inspection. Finish milled zirconia, PMMA, and resin restorations, including sprue removal and pre-sinter preparation. Perform zirconia coloring, sintering, finishing, polishing, staining, and glazing. Maintain 3D printers, milling machines, and related digital equipment, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Ensure production meets laboratory quality standards and turnaround times. 2. Digital Workflow & Laboratory Operations Scan dental models and impressions using desktop laboratory scanners. Evaluate digital scans and physical impressions for accuracy and identify defects before production. Pour impressions and fabricate articulated study models when required. Document production issues and communicate quality concerns with supervisors and production teams. Collaborate with CAD designers and other laboratory departments to ensure accurate case completion. 3. Restorative Finishing & Quality Control Finish and polish zirconia, PMMA, resin, and metal restorations. Perform zirconia staining, glazing, and aesthetic characterization. (a plus ) Finish and polish implant bars and metal frameworks. Perform titanium bar anodization. Sandblast metal and zirconia restorations. Seat, fit, and verify implant bars and zirconia structures. Apply gingival characterization using pink composites (e.g., Bredent Crealign, Optiglaze) when required. (a plus ) Conduct final inspection of restorations to ensure proper fit, function, and esthetics before delivery. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in a dental laboratory with a strong emphasis on CAD/CAM production. Proven experience with digital dental workflows and CAD/CAM manufacturing. Experience operating and maintaining 3D printers and milling equipment. Familiarity with zirconia, PMMA, resin, and implant restorative materials. Strong understanding of digital quality control procedures and production standards. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a production team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with implant-supported restorations and full-arch workflows. Knowledge of Exocad or other dental CAD software.
