Contractor Counter Sales Associate

ProX a division of Western Building Center is seeking an outgoing person who takes pride in excellent customer service. Are you a plumber, electrician, or carpenter who is looking to ditch the bags? This full-time customer service position will give you the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced retail environment. A successful applicant will be able to hone their knowledge of all aspects of building materials sales, from customer service and sales to administration and logistics. Skilled trade or lumber and building materials industry experience is recommended. Training is provided, but some computer experience is necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure that customers and clients have the best possible retail experience

2. Fulfill sales goals as directed by the store manager

3. Maintain clean and organized appearance of the retail facility

4. Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.

5. Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

6. Other duties may be assigned

COMPETENCIES

· Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications

· Good customer service and communications skills

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations

· Working knowledge of Windows operating systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A drug test will be administered prior to employment
