Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities Master Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing complaints without any assistance. Repair and install truck/engine equipment. Complete jobs within the departmental established time frame. Maintain a 98% to 100% return – free work level for assigned jobs. Pickup and delivery of service-related items and/or customer vehicles as needed. Report problems and concerns to the Service Manager and/or Shop Supervisors. Assist with inspections on equipment and in the work area. Answer questions from, and provide guidance to, less experienced shop employees. Attend training classes as required and study shop/service materials and manuals related to the job. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Additional training in heavy duty truck repairs preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in heavy duty truck/engine repairs and installation. Valid driver’s license required. CDL and DOT medical card mandatory if the vehicle is driven off of dealership premises. Premier Truck Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
