Description

• Deliver thorough evaluations to pediatric, adult, and elderly populations through standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that fulfill immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Conduct focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Work in harmony with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Perform occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless care experience throughout the treatment continuum.
• Keep accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continued professional education and foster collaborative relationships with peers to stay abreast of industry advancements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• National Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
