About the Position Under general supervision of the Director of Support Services, the Case Manager will work with YWCA shelter clients, conducting initial assessments, coordinating services, maintaining caseloads, and supporting shelter guests and community clients. The role requires collaboration with Housing Case Manager, Housing Advocates, Victim Services, and Allied Professionals. Essential Duties Conduct initial service intake and needs assessments and coordinate services. Complete thorough assessments to identify strengths, needs, barriers, and goals. Check in with clients on caseload to provide support, referrals, and goal tracking. Provide education on sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking and related reporting options. Offer crisis intervention counseling, safety planning, and suicidal assessments. Manage case services for community clients or clients exiting shelter. Provide requested information and community referrals. Collect statistical data for grant reporting. Create and accept referral requests, maintaining communication with providers. Collaborate with support staff on current client issues. Assist guests with housing applications and searches, referring to Housing Specialist as appropriate. Maintain client records per YWCA SHR policy and procedures. Protect client confidentiality per YWCA SHR confidentiality policy. Adhere to mandated reporter policy in collaboration with law enforcement and medical personnel. Participate in training on interpersonal violence, community resources, and medical personnel. Prepare and deliver educational programs to allied professionals, community members, and volunteers. Attend staff meetings scheduled throughout the year. Participate in fundraising and development activities supporting the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, human services, or related field, or eight years of related experience. Experience working with victims of interpersonal violence, persons with disabilities, mental health concerns, and chronic homelessness. Must complete background check, YWCA SHR training program, and hold a valid driver’s license with excellent driving record. Must have reliable transportation; travel is required. Skills and Competencies Deep knowledge of interpersonal violence dynamics and commitment to ending violence. Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets. Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Calm and supportive demeanor at all times. Professional, caring attitude aligning with YWCA SHR philosophy. Willingness to work and travel alone. Compensation Salary range: $38,000‑$45,000, based on experience, with comprehensive benefits. Position is full‑time, non‑exempt.
