Resident Care Assistant

Overview : TheResident CareAssistantparticipatesinthe directand indirect care to residents,families,and significant others at the Hospice location.They willoperateunder the direction of the Resident Care Team Leader. Duties and Responsibilities : Is accountable for the documentation of care provided and status ofresidents. Is accountable for theresident’spersonal care and hygiene, activities, ambulation, safety,nutrition,and hydration. Maintaincleanand safe environment forresidents. Assistin preparing meals andsnacks. Working with volunteers Coordinates andmaintaincleanand safe environment for residents, oversees meal and snack preparedness. Participates in Quality Assurance projects. Basedinexperiencemay be asked toassistas ‘on-call’ staff. Performs other duties as assigned by theResident Care Team Leader orDirector ofOmega House. Education, Licensure/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of Nurse Aide program withcertificationpreferred. BLS certificationrequired. Experience, Skills/Abilities Related Requirements: Can work to prescribe nursing standards including the physical demands of standing,walking,and moving most of the time without liftingrestrictions. 1 Year experience specific to Persons with AIDS or Hospice Continuing Education and Training Requirements : Participates intrainingsrequired by the agency, funding source(s), and/or as required by licensure if applicable. #J-18808-Ljbffr Avenue 360 Health and Wellness
