Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: • 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a license (required after submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Additional Details: Required Credentials: - Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Unit Details: - Administers standard respiratory care including but not limited to aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, arterial cannulation, and arterial punctures. - Provides all aspects of airway management including aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care, tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations, and extubations. - Performs ventilator care including setting up the ventilator and verifying function using specialized ventilator modes to manage the patient's disease process; provides appropriate monitoring and weaning techniques. - May assume Charge Therapist responsibilities. - Patient population: 95% adult, 5% pediatrics and neonates. - Equipment: G5 Hamilton Vent, Bellavista, NPPV. - Units: ICU, Telemetry, Med Surg, ED.
