Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience in performing your professional duties. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to improve patient care, sharing best practices and insights through virtual meetings and digital communication platforms. Our work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring a consistent and structured workweek.

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to accurately identify mental or emotional disorders in patients, formulating detailed treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Treatment Development: Design and implement effective coping strategies and treatment modalities to assist patients in managing and overcoming their mental health challenges.

  • Ongoing Support: Monitor patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to their evolving needs. This includes re-evaluating therapeutic approaches and goals to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Patient Education: Empower patients and their families with knowledge about mental health issues, coping mechanisms, and available resources, promoting self-management and understanding.

  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to coordinate comprehensive care and connect patients with necessary services.

  • Training and Development: Participate in continuing education courses to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification, putting an emphasis on staying current with best practices in the mental health field.

Your primary focus will be trauma injury patients, a demographic that often faces unique emotional and psychological obstacles. Understanding trauma’s profound impact on mental health will be integral to your role, as you work to build trust and rapport with patients, allowing for deeper discussions and more effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

  • A minimum of three years of experience working with trauma-affected individuals in a clinical or community setting.
