Assembly Technician

Assembly TechnicianNABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused, mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to join our team in Gallatin, TN. In this role, you will primarily assemble powered winches and related marine equipment, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical components. Additional responsibilities may include general assembly, warehouse support, and facility maintenance. We are looking for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, and the flexibility to support a variety of operational needs.NABRICO Marine Products is a leading manufacturer of inland barges and marine products serving the U.S. inland waterway system. Our products help transport essential commodities including grain, coal, aggregates, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes throughout the nation's waterways.In addition to manufacturing dry cargo and tank barges, NABRICO Marine Products is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers and produces a complete line of marine deck hardware, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.What You'll DoAssemble powered winches and related marine equipment according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.Install and assemble mechanical and electrical components used in powered winch systems.Perform basic electrical wiring, connections, and component installation as required.Work with pneumatic and hydraulic components and systems as needed.Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively.Read and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and product specifications.Inspect completed assemblies to ensure components are properly installed and meet quality requirements.Assist with testing and troubleshooting assembled equipment to identify mechanical or electrical issues.Perform general assembly duties on additional marine products and components as needed.Assist with warehouse activities, including receiving, organizing, staging, and moving materials and components.Support general facility maintenance and upkeep as needed.Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, maintenance, and other team members to support operational needs.Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.Perform other duties as assigned.What You'll NeedHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous mechanical assembly, equipment assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or related hands-on experience preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how components work together.Basic electrical aptitude and experience working with electrical components, wiring, or equipment preferred.Basic knowledge of pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems is a plus.Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.Ability to read and follow drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues.Willingness to perform a variety of duties, including assembly, warehouse support, and facility maintenance.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Excellent attendance, dependability, and commitment to workplace safety.Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and work with hands throughout the shift.Ability to safely use hand and power tools for extended periods.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, components, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, forklifts, electrical equipment, and other industrial operations.Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and industrial conditions.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays based on production needs.Ability to accurately follow work instructions, supervisor direction, drawings, and established procedures to complete work safely and efficiently.Why Join NABRICO Marine Products?Competitive payComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchPaid holidays and paid time offCareer advancement opportunitiesSafety-focused work environmentStable, growing manufacturing operation
