Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring cardiac ICU and pediatric experience with ECMO and CRRT exposure.

Details

• Inpatient pediatric hospital setting in a 32-bed Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU)
• Patient population includes post-op open heart cases, single ventricles, complex cardiac anatomy/physiology, heart transplant, and heart failure
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with an average daily census of 21
• Specialized procedures include invasive cardiac monitoring (CVP, ART, RA, etc.), ECMO, CRRT, vasopressors, cardiac drips, and sedation drips
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NE or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• ECMO and CRRT exposure or experience preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates with primary PICU experience who floated to a Cardiac ICU should clearly document the frequency of that experience in their work history
