Position Overview Geotherm, a UES company, is looking to hire an experienced AP/AR professional to lead our branch accounting function for business operations, as well as partner with our regional CFO to deliver timely financial updates regarding the health of our business, to include month-end, YTD, and YoY comparisons. In addition, this role will provide branch administrative support of processes which will include: ensuring great employee experience, consistent application of UES policies and processes, and assisting in the onboarding of new hires. Responsibilities In this role, you'll be asked to: Lead the daily effort for AP/AR work product. Support the month-end and year-end close process, including variance analysis and the preparation of supporting schedules. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and audit deliverables. Monitor adherence to internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and company standards. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and assist with system upgrades or automation projects. Prepares invoices, proposals, and reports, and supports collection processes, as needed. Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Serves as the first point of contact for visitors & clients. Assist in implementing new accounting procedures and policies as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Travel Requirements This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off‑site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs. Physical Demands & Work Environment This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in‑person interactions. The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms. The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
