Commercial Real Estate Attorney

Overview Columbia, SC Full-Time | Hybrid/Remote Flexibility Salary: $110,000 – $175,000 Depending on Experience McCabe, Trotter & Beverly is seeking an attorney to join our growing commercial real estate and development practice. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with developers, lenders, and business owners on meaningful transactional matters while building a long-term practice in a collaborative and supportive environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys transactional work, values client relationships and wants hands-on experience with sophisticated commercial real estate matters. Candidates with at least two years of transactional experience are encouraged to apply, including attorneys interested in expanding into development and commercial real estate work. What You’ll Work On Commercial real estate acquisitions and sales Development-related transactions and due diligence Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, easements, leaves, and related documents Title, survey, zoning, and closing matters Direct interaction with developers, lenders, and clients General business and property-related transactional matters Assisting developers in setting up community associations and advising them on community association matters Other community association governing document drafting projects What We Offer Meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction Sophisticated transactional work with experienced developers and business clients A collaborative team environment with mentorship and support Opportunity to develop and grow a long-term practice Hybrid/remote scheduling flexibility for experienced candidates after onboarding Stable workforce with an established client base A professional environment focused on quality work, responsiveness, and teamwork Who May Be a Good Fit Attorneys with 2+ years of commercial real estate experience Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills Attorneys who enjoy working closely with clients and solving practical business problems Lawyers interested in building a long-term practice in South Carolina Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active South Carolina law license and good standing, or ability to obtain admission promptly Experience with title review and closings is helpful. A South Carolina title insurance license is preferred, but the firm is willing to support the right candidate in obtaining licensure after hire.
