Plant Custodian

The Plant Custodian contributes to the success of Eagle Flexible Packaging (“Eagle”) by being responsible for the overall cleanliness and order of the production floor, restrooms, break rooms, and all other facility workspaces while maintaining safe work practices at all times. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative incustodial maintenance jobs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Check and empty all garbage receptacles throughout the factory as needed. Verify that each waste container is properly labeled. Verify that no product identification labels are in container. Sanitize office and warehouse common areas. Use floor scrubber machine 1-2 times weekly throughout the entire warehouse. Collect and store empty cradles; clean cradles as necessary. Sweep floors and aisles throughout the factory. Keep perimeter of the plant clear of obstruction. Dust all horizontal surfaces within eye level on weekly basis. Sweep, dust, and mop employee entrances on weekly or as needed basis. Verify all chemicals have proper identification and label as needed. Verify janitorial cabinets have required tools and equipment stored properly. Replenish all pallet and slip sheets storage areas throughout the factory. Assist in moving return to inventory material to the staging location. Remove any damaged skids from the factory floor. Regularly maintain and clean restrooms. Complete a daily sweep of the building outdoor grounds to ensure no stray materials. Assist with special tasks as needed. Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements Detail oriented and committed. Ability to safely work in a fast-paced production environment while managing multiple responsibilities. Sense of accountability, including record of good attendance. Effective time management skills and ability to maximize productivity. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs. Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds. Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn. Preferred Qualification: High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Pay: $16.00 to $18.50 per hour Flex Your Potential with Eagle! Eagle provides its employees with a 100% match up to 1% and 50% match up to 6%. Company Paid Short Term Disability – The Short-Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle. Company Paid Long Term Disability – The Long-Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle. Life Insurance – The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by Eagle and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children. Vacation/PTO –The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment. 8 Company Paid Holidays – Eligible after 60 days of employment. Sick Leave – Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year). Tuition Reimbursement – Following 6 months of employment, employees are eligible for reimbursement for courses, certifications, and training programs that support their Eagle careers. Part-timeteam members are provided with the following benefits: Vacation/PTO – Eligible to earn 1 hour of vacation/PTO for every 40 hours worked up to a maximum of 40 hours of vacation/PTO. 401K Plan – Plan entry date is the first of the month following 6 months of service.
