Position Summary: Facilitate the manufacture of high quality brake pads in a safe and efficient manner; keeping in mind the needs of the company, our customers, our employees, and our community.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure a safe work environment and safe work activity of all SAFA employees as well as contract employees.
2. Ensure an environmentally safe plant for our employees and the community.
3. Quality pads produced.
4. Quality and process improvements in the manufacturing area.
5. Production level and production efficiency.
6. Training of manufacturing employees.
7. Reporting of scrap.
8. Upkeep of machinery, equipment, and the manufacturing facility.
9. Coordinate cleaning activity in respective areas.
10. Assist Lead Operators in trouble shooting and production matters.
11. Assist Managers and Engineers in trials and production matters.
12. Evaluate maintenance priority and needs during shift and communicate to maintenance.
13. Complete Supervisor Patrol.
14. Notify Management immediately on issues that arise, employee issues, scrap issues, production issues.
15. Daily communication.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

• Associate degree or higher in business or leadership (Preferred). With 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results
• Supervision, including employee retention, performance review and discipline
• Employee training and development
• Measurement of performance goals and standards
• An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations
• Problem analysis and resolution
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Work Environment:

Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
