About the Position

Job Title: Speech Pathologist Profession: Speech Pathologist Specialty: Speech Pathologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift (5x 8's) Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years of experience in acute care with adults; 1 year considered if as an internship License: Active Speech Pathologist license required Certifications: CPR certification preferred Must-Have: - Experience in ICU patient care and working with tracheostomy patients - Ability to perform modified barium swallow studies Description: We provide services throughout the hospital in all units. Our team works in various departments, including Day Stay, NICU, SDU, Med Surg, Pediatrics, and ICU. The daily schedule starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 5:00 PM, with variability depending on the assignment. Staff may begin rounds at 7:45 AM and conclude at 4:15 PM. No call is required for this position. Weekend coverage is required for Speech Therapy; staff will alternate working every third weekend. Specialty equipment will be utilized, including lift equipment. In addition to acute care inpatient services, the role includes outpatient modified barium swallow studies. Scrubs are not provided, and there is no specific color requirement for attire.
