Operations Technician

Operations TechnicianMercer Landmark is seeking an Operations Technician to support our grain and agronomy operations. This position may be based at one of our facilities and may require travel between nearby locations as business needs dictate.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for performing a variety of operational duties, including grain handling, facility maintenance, housekeeping, customer service, equipment operation, and opening and closing procedures. The Operations Technician plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and organized facilities while supporting the achievement of business goals and providing exceptional service to our patrons.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to:Perform a variety of tasks both inside and outside the facility as needed.Assist with grain handling, receiving, storage, grading, and shipping operations.Carry out facility opening and closing duties.Perform general maintenance, housekeeping, and cleaning responsibilities.Operate forklifts and other equipment as assigned.Inspect equipment and facilities and assist with minor repairs.Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas in compliance with company safety standards.Travel between facilities as needed to support operations.Provide excellent customer service by serving patrons in a manner that promotes Mercer Landmark and delivers the services they need to succeed.Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Basic reading and comprehension skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and practices.Valid state driver's license required; CDL is a plus.Forklift experience is preferred or willingness to become certified.Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and inspect equipment when necessary.Willingness and ability to perform manual labor and follow instructions.Ability to safely use equipment, tools, materials, and supplies associated with facility operations.Ability to lift heavy objects, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physically demanding work in varying weather and environmental conditions.Understanding of the seasonal nature of the agricultural industry and willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and employees at all levels of the organization.Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the job.BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage based on qualifications and experience.Comprehensive benefits package including:Health InsuranceDental and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePension Plan401(k) PlanClothing AllowancePaid Time OffSick LeavePaid HolidaysBonus ProgramAnd More!Mercer Landmark is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing a safe, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
