Your impact As the Instrumentation Automation SCADA Specialist, you’ll support our Operational Technology team by designing, implementing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems for water and wastewater facilities across the Southeast Region. Your work will help more than 1.7 billion gallons of water to be treated safely and efficiently, protecting vital water resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Travel to projects throughout the region Configure, commission, and maintain Control Panels, PLCs, and SCADA Systems Support the installation of Control Panels, PLCs, SCADA Servers, and Workstations Troubleshoot process control issues Troubleshoot SCADA communications issues Work remotely from home or local facilities Remotely monitor assets across facilities and identify maintenance needs or service degradation Remotely assist with troubleshooting process control issues Remotely apply minor updates and fixes to existing SCADA & PLC systems Work with facility managers to identify technology needs Develop plans to improve facility control systems in alignment with facility needs Collaborate with other disciplines on equipment installation, startup & commissioning Configure equipment to conform to process control and resiliency standards Manage SCADA user accounts and access controls Overtime or non‑regular schedule work may be required Tools & Equipment General office equipment, including telephone, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment Servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that support the commercial and industrial network environment Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment Here’s what you’ll need A principle‑driven person that exudes Integrity, Curiosity, & Empathy A solid technical foundation focusing on electrical and/or control system design Estimated (50 %) travel throughout the Southeast Region will be required Valid driver’s license with no major infractions Valid ‘REAL ID’ driver’s license as required by TSA for travel Ideally, You’ll Also Have A person who is visionary; one who plans far ahead and focuses on what is important Background in networking or information systems management Other corollary skills: automotive repair, mechanical skills, process, manufacturing knowledge, etc. Working Conditions Safety is a core value at Jacobs. Certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonuses, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $141,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
