Staff Accountant

Our client is a well-established and growing organization in Denver seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to work in a dynamic, operationally focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and experience in an industry with similar accounting complexities, such as construction, mining, manufacturing, distribution, inventory, engineering, or another project-based/operations-driven environment. What You’ll Do Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate financial records Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and analyze financial reports and account activity Perform balance sheet reconciliations and research discrepancies Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other transactional accounting functions as needed Support inventory accounting, job costing, project accounting, or cost accounting activities Work closely with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial information Assist with audits, reporting, and other accounting projects Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 2+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience in construction, mining, manufacturing, distribution, inventory, engineering, or a similar industry preferred Strong understanding of debits/credits, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of financial data Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a broader accounting and operations team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Why This Opportunity?
