Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:


Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures to produce high-quality images for the diagnosis and monitoring of various medical conditions. Supervises ultrasound staff and ensures equipment functionality and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of internal tissues, organs, vessels, and pathology.
• Analyze and document imaging results, verifying accuracy before presenting findings to physicians.
• Educate and supervise ultrasound personnel to maintain high standards of imaging quality and safety.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with standards.
• Assess patient conditions, prepare patients for procedures, and monitor vital signs throughout examinations.
• Adhere to diagnostic protocols, safety precautions, and patient confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a diploma or certificate from an accredited Ultrasound program.
• Be certified and currently registered by ARDMS, CCI-RVS, or ARRT in Sonography or Vascular Sonography.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Have at least two years of recent experience in the field.
• Maintain current licensing as required by the state of practice.
