Machine Operator - 2nd shift Shred

Job Overview Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines across multiple departments at a new 340,000 square foot conversion facility in Franklin, WI. Ensure production speeds and product quality meet company standards while maintaining equipment and safety compliance. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain machines in multiple departments. Adjust, perform minor repairs, and conduct equipment changesovers to ensure proper operation. Operate metal detectors as required and complete associated paperwork. Perform quality control checks and follow reporting and record‑keeping procedures; report issues to a supervisor. Monitor overall product quality by maintaining equipment and facility in a sanitary condition. Verify product packaging against customer specifications on the production sheet (price, date, label, packaging). Maintain compliance with GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S policies. Keep work area neat, clean, and organized. Minimize waste and make productive use of downtime. Attend mandatory safety and departmental meetings. Sanitize lines when needed and record production data. Qualifications Ability to push, pull, and lift between 20 and 100 pounds. Working knowledge of production and plant processes. Ready for scheduled hours and required overtime. Reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality. Basic analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform simple mathematical calculations in different units. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of safety methods and procedures. Self‑motivated, able to multi‑task, work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Ability to read and comprehend production worksheets. Professional behavior and positive representation of Saputo. Physical ability to work in manufacturing environments, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and handling chemicals while wearing PPE.
