About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Ultrasound Tech - General Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience License: Must possess a valid state license Certifications: - ARDMS certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography - BLS certification upon hire - Two additional certifications from a specified list required upon hire Must-Have: - Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment. - Proficient in performing sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally. - Well-developed time management and organizational skills. - Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems. - Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to ensure patient privacy and build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers. Description: Competently performs routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity. Produces quality images for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills. Delivers accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures. May be responsible for performing specific procedures and orienting other staff. Promotes optimal patient care while ensuring safety and privacy.
