Human Resource Business Partner

Location: Tampa, FL, 33606 Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner Reports To: Director of Operations FLSA status: Exempt Overview Position Description: The field HR Business Partner is accountable for providing critical human resources support targeting internal development to the field, as well as to the HR team. Responsibilities Provide human resources support and strategic guidance to restaurant operations. Develop long‑term plans, evaluate work accomplishments, build relationships with Operations and other department heads to proactively identify and solve performance gaps. Adapt HR practices to meet senior management requirements and maintain effective relationships with staff and the general public. Present facts and recommendations in oral and written form; deliver classroom training, facilitate meetings, and provide presentations. Promote a region recognition culture and engage initiatives consistently. Maintain internal bench planning, panel selection processes, candidate sourcing and selection, and support recruiting. Oversee learning and development programs, including training audits and certifications. Participate in performance management, partner with the Director of Operations on leadership reviews, and follow up development plans. Conduct one‑on‑one coaching for performance improvement. Track and respond to all employee relations concerns; partner with Area Directors on investigations and comply with employment law. Liaise between support centers and the field. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology, or Education preferred; or equivalent combination. Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint). Travel up to 50% locally, some overnight required. Multi‑brand and multi‑state experience in restaurant or retail environment. SHRM/HRCI Certified Professional (PHR) preferred. Experience in a fast‑paced, growing workplace. Strong understanding of HR principles and ability to handle complex, sensitive associate matters. Mastery of behavioral interviewing and labor law compliance for recruitment. Experience with applicant tracking systems and onboarding program development. Dynamic personality, enthusiastic, creative, thrives under pressure, can perform multiple functions. Self‑motivation and deadline management skills.
