Job Responsibilities
- Design Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and create tailored therapy programs that help them achieve their functional aspirations.
- Implement Engaging Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based methodologies to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide holistic and comprehensive patient care.
- Guide Patients and Families: Teach patients and their caregivers effective therapy techniques to encourage continued progress at home.
- Assess Progress and Document Outcomes: Monitor and record clinical developments, making adjustments as necessary to keep patients on their rehabilitation journey.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Ongoing education and post-graduate certifications are welcomed and supported
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory
- A fervor for helping others and a deep-seated commitment to enabling individuals to achieve their fullest independence
- Effective communication skills, respectful and compassionate with both patients and colleagues
- Cognitive flexibility and creativity to adapt plans to meet diverse patient needs
- Strong capability to operate autonomously as well as part of a close-knit interdisciplinary team
