Underwriting Assistant

Underwriting Assistant Insight Global is currently hiring an Underwriting Assistant for a large client in the Houston, TX area. The primary responsibility is to support the Underwriter’s by maintaining accurate and up-to-date underwriting files, and preparing various Surety Documents and reports to facilitate the Underwriters decision-making process. Underwriting Assistants are expected to help develop and maintain successful relationships with clients and personnel in other departments within the Company, by providing excellent service, resolving issues, and developing rapport. This includes direct support to company-wide Underwriters and Branch Underwriting Assistants, invoicing bonds, maintaining and setting up bond files in the internal system, closing bond files, and pulling credit reports as necessary. This position requires a person with great attention to detail, the ability to complete tasks and assignments in a high-volume work environment. This will be a 6-month contract-to-hire position and could lead to several growth opportunities. This person must be open to going onsite Monday through Friday.
